We Loveth this Song – "Apologize" by One Republic
We chooseth “Aplogize” by One Republic, as song of the week. We first heard this beautiful song when Danny and Anya danced on “So You Think You Can Dance” and we were in love. The raw emotion in the music and lyrics fuse together brilliantly.
It is very painful when you are past the point of an apology. You stand at the crossroads and look back and remember the wrenching feeling of betrayal and hurt. Then your emotions rush through your blood, to feel the warm feelings that felt so genuine and made you whole. You are being ripped apart and the good feelings are decaying in your hands. You pretend it does not matter, but it does.
A surge of strength appears, to push you forward. You hesitate and almost falter. You keep repeating, “It’s too late to apologize” to give yourself courage and to remember the pain. You have passed the threshold of what you can endure. The brute force of survival is with you now. It’s just too late.

Danny and Anya, two most beautiful dancers, took this song and put movement in the words. Perfection.

The Danny/Anya and Hok/Jaime pieces were also my two most absolute favorites from SYTYCD. I get chills seeing them again!!
Maria,
I am so happy that these beautifully choreographed pieces moved you as they did me. Great art always touches us. Thank you for stopping by.
