Knights of the Pain Table

A Camelot for Sufferers of Chronic Pain

Paul Potts, Our Welsh Tenor Sings “Nella Fantasia” in Camelot

 Paul Potts

King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, stood before the assembled Knights of the Pain Table, in the Great Hall of Camelot.     The Knights paused in a deep silence.     King Arthur did spake, “ O Great Knights.     The fields of Glastonbury were honoured to have walk upon them, as you pursued your Divine quest to the Vale of Avalon.    You went heart in heart and hand in hand with Merlin as your guide.     You gladden our spirit and are a deep radiance to all those who suffer.”

“Arise and drink from these charmed cups as our honoured guest has arrived to  Camelot.”

Behold, their humble Welsh Minstrel, Paul Potts entered the Great Hall.  This Minstrel Tenor had moved the Gallant Knights with the truth, beauty and passion of his voice the first time they had heard him.     His tale had touched so many hearts in such a short time.

Through the silence, Sir Paul began to sing “Nella Fantasia”.

The English Translation for the lyrics were heard in the Knights’ hearts.

In my fantasy I see a just world,
Where everyone lives in peace and in honesty.
I dream of spirits that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the spirit.
In my fantasy I see a bright world,
Where each night there is less darkness.
I dream of spirits that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly.
In my fantasy exists a warm wind,
That breathes into the city, like a friend.
I dream of spirits that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the spirit.

The Knights’eyes glistened.  They stood in silence.  They were truly now at home.
