Oíche Chiún - Silent Night

Under the brilliance of the sacred Star the Blessed Child doth lay in the Manger.  The night was still.    When one listens to the words of Silent Night it is as if a Blessed Angel is singing these words.

Perhaps that is why when I first heard Enya sing this song I felt as if I was taken back to that first night so long ago.     Let us go back that night when a Saviour was born.    Listen to our Enya singing  “Silent Night”  in Irish Gaelic.     Just so Very Beautiful.

Enya   (born Eithne Patricia Ní Bhraonáin on 17 May 1961,  Gaoth Dobhair,  County Donegal, Ireland),  sometimes presented in the media as Enya Brennan,  is an Irish singer and songwriter.   She is Ireland’s  best-selling solo artist and is officially the country’s second biggest musical export.   Her works have earned her four Grammy Awards and an Academy Award nomination.
