The Wexford Carol
Whilst the leaf doth fall and the flowers do fade, our hertes are winter bound. The wind’s soft song drifted across the land as the Knights didst gather in a castle’s warmest room.
Queen Guinevere entered with gown from the finest wool and locks of raven. She held a special gift of delight for her dear Knights.
She spoke these words: “Lay thy swords adown and cast thy coats of winter to the side. I bid your hertes to warm by the melodious fire. Let thy thoughts roll to a place divine. Solitude be gone. You are one and all. With thine ears listen.
We hold out gratitude to Yo-Yo Ma and Alison Krauss who didst sing “The Wexford Carol”.
