Sarah McLachlan Sings One Dream 2010 Winter Olympics Song To Inspire

One Dream

Cause we’ll walk this road together
Though at times we felt alone
In the struggle to leave dissent
We find the strength one yet to find
~One Dream Lyrics

Our beautiful Sarah McLachlan has returned with a moving song for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.

NBC was interested in a song for their commercial for the Olympics.    They approached Sarah about writing a song to commemorate the Olympic experience. As a Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and Vancouver native, Sarah McLachlan composed the song, “One Dream”.    It is about the spirit within each of us that pushes us to become greater than we dreamed.     It is about the Olympic spirit.

This song is going to be part of NBC’s marketing campaign during the Winter Olympics.   The video for the song was first shown during the US figure skating championships, in January.   The music video featured figure skaters Sasha Cohen, Johnny Weir and others.

The song holds a gentleness in tone.    Sometimes our greatest strengths are not dramatic passionate forces, but instead they are persistent gentle waves that push us beyond ourselves to a greater place.   Sarah honors that spirit in her uplifting song.   Listen to One Dream.

Sarah McLachlan will be performing in the opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics on February 12, 2010 at BC Place in Vancouver, BC.     We are thankful that Canada has been graced with such a beautiful singer, who has given us so many inspiring moments with her unique style of music.

In the summer of 2010, Sarah McLachlan will perform for the Lilith Fair concert festival and she might also release a new album very soon.     If you wish to purchase this song from iTunes, you can visit her official Website.

We pray whether thou art an athlete or an injured Knight, you are able to hear the gentle spirit within your heart to guide you to a stronger place.

You carry your courage, carry the history
But all are gone before you
Wherever you come from
Or born of one dream finds you, standing here
With this song in my herte,

Like a warm wind you come by with your grace. It is an honor each visit. I visited your Kingdom and loved the life that it holds. I did not know Adam Beach and Taylor Lautner were Potawatomi. It is so fascinating. I will return again.

Peace of the wind go with you,

    Lady Sharon
