Remembrance Day – The Long War
From coast to coast, Canadians on November 11th pause for a silent moment of remembrance for the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country in times of war and peace.
No sacrifice is so great as to lay down a life for another. This is chivalry in its highest form.

The Long War
Less passionate the long war throws
its burning thorn about all men,
caught in one grief, we share one wound
and cry one dialect of pain.
We have forgot who fired the house,
whose easy mischief spilt first blood,
under one raging roof we lie
the fault no longer understood.
But as our twisted arms embrace
the desert where our cities stood,
death’s family likeness in each face
must show, at last our brotherhood.

On this day, all those in Camelot that doth suffer with chronic pain or illness and understand the strength and great courage it takes to fight in any war, honor those veterans that have served with a higher standard. They died so we might live.
We bow our iron heads in remembrance and gratitude.
