Olympic Torch’s Flame Breathes Still in Vancouver’s Herte
Holland Park in Surrey, BC
It may be one year ago that the Olympic Torch didst come upon our land in Canada, but it left a trail of small sparks that have ignited the hertes of many Canadians. It’s light seemed to reflect something we, as Canadians, had forgotten -something that we used to be proud of many years ago.
The 2010 Winter Olympics began with an Olympic Torch traveling across the vast land of Canada. I ventured out to Holland Park in the City of Surrey in British Columbia to welcome the Torch, but what I felt was much more profound. The crowds lined the street so thick I could hardly see the Olympic Torch.
Luckily Coca Cola had a mobile van set up where you could see the 2010 Olympic Torch, as well as Olympic Torches from previous Olympics.
Outside the people were so excited to pose for a photo with the 2010 Winter Olympic Torch.
While listening to the festivities and music there was food and refreshments. We thinketh some cooks from Camelot joined in to welcome the Torch.
With great interest we saw the upcoming merchandise including some of the mascots for the 2010 Olympics. Here we didst see Miga, a mythical sea bear and Mukmuk, a Vancouver Island Marmot.
Tomorrow we shall follow the torch again, carried by the jubilation of the crowds.
Till then, blessing from Camelot.
