The World I Knew by Jordin Sparks

I don’t know where this road is going to lead me
But I’m hoping that with you I can make it through
I’ve had enough of this life to lead me
Right up to the edge of the world I knew

It has been three years since Jordin Sparks won "American Idol", and her career is continuing to take flight. She was recently asked to sing the theme song "The World I Knew" for Disney’s new Nature documentary movie "African Cats". The film tells the true story of two animal families -the lion and the cheetah- trying to survive on the African savannah.

Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson "African Cats" uses real-life footage and a portion of the proceeds for the film are being donated to the African Wildlife Foundation. The song was written by Ryan Tedder and inflo who also produced the song.

The song is about how one can go down any road or face any danger no matter how difficult as long as you have someone you care about with you at your side. Listen to "The World I Knew".

Battling an illness is just like surviving on the African savannah. One faces death, pain and despair. But if one has someone to stand by you, to watch over you and comfort you, it makes everything much easier to face. If you feel alone today, there is a Knight always near by in Camelot to fight by your side. You are never alone.

We thank Jordin Sparks for her beautiful voice which soars with this touching song. We pray for all of God’s creature’s that struggle to survive each day. May they always have one another.

Holding a Light,

Lady Sharon
Scribe of Camelot
